PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composite material which has excellent mechanical strength and can be produced in a simple manner and a process for producing the resin composite material.SOLUTION: A resin composite material is produced by chemically bonding a reactive polyfunctional compound to both of a thermoplastic resin and a carbon material having a graphene structure. A process for producing the resin composite material includes: a first step of chemically bonding the reactive polyfunctional compound to the thermoplastic resin; and a second step of chemically bonding the reactive polyfunctional compound to the carbon material having the graphene structure.
