PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method for measuring and inspecting weld bead shape and a weld defect at a high speed with high accuracy.SOLUTION: An apparatus for inspecting an object to be inspected includes: an inspection unit 15 that acquires camera image information captured by imaging an object 11 to be inspected with an optical cutting method; signal conversion means 20 for converting it to digital image information; image acquiring means 21 for forming a shape data matrix from the digital image information, and calculating a luminance distribution data matrix and a line width data matrix on the basis of a coordinate of a representative pixel obtained by the shape data information; and image processing means 26 that processes an image data value from an image memory 22 to obtain a luminance distribution data image, a line width data image, and a shape data image. On the basis of a density distribution of at least one data processing image of the luminance data image, the line width data image and the shape data image processed in the image processing means 26, a weld bead width and shape thereof are measured and inspected. |
