Provided is a secondary battery that is small in size and in which the current capacity per unit volume can be increased. The present invention is a secondary battery comprising two battery units each having a charging layer between a first electrode layer and a second electrode layer, the secondary battery being characterized in that the two battery units are connected in parallel by: juxtaposing and connecting the first electrode layers of one battery unit and the other battery unit, or the second electrode layers of said one battery unit and said other battery unit, with one another; and wiring and connecting the second electrode layers of said one battery unit and said other battery unit, or the first electrode layers of said one battery unit and said other battery unit, with one another. |
