The tube (100) has contact pins (104, 106) provided at respective ends, where the contact pins at the one of the ends are electrically connectable with the contact pins of the other end by a switching structure or extensible in an end-submerged condition by the other contact pins. Fuse structures (110, 112) are activatable by inserting into a socket element in order to release the switching structure for switching into the on-state. The switching structure is formed as an electrical slide switch (108), a rotary switch and a rotary switch. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a lighting tube.
