<p>The invention concerns a device for producing hot coated products, for example coated with bitumen, comprising: - a furnace (1) comprising a chamber (2) provided, at the two opposing ends of same, with a main inlet (3) intended to receive granular products and a main outlet, - a heating means (10) defining a combustion section (5) in the chamber (2), said chamber (2) continuing from said combustion section (5) into a drying section (6), then a mixing section (7), characterised in that it is provided with a branched outlet (11), and an external mixer (12) connected to said branched outlet (11) which is fitted with a closure system (15) allowing the passage of the granular products to the inlet (13) of the external mixer (12) and allowing the passage of the granular products to the mixing section (7).
