摘要 PURPOSE: A torsion beam axle of an aluminum alloy material and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to reduce the weights of components in comparison with the existing torsion beam axle, need no separating painting process, and to reduce the number of the components. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a torsion beam axle of an aluminum alloy material includes the following steps of: preparing an aluminum alloy pipe including 0.09-0.45 wt% of Si, 0.11-0.24 wt% of Fe, 0.02 wt% or less of Cu, 0.02-0.76 wt% of Mn, 2.7-4.1 wt% of Mg, 0.11-0.25 wt% of Cr, 0.003-0.014 wt% of Zn, and 0.021-0.0031 wt% of Ti; bending processing the alloy pipe into a shape corresponding to a trail arm shape; seating the primary molded article inside a die having a molding groove corresponding to the trail arm shape; and expanding the pipe by applying water pressure to the inside of the primary molded article.
