The invention details a portable hand-held machine tool comprising at least one drive unit 12a, which has a drive unit longitudinal axis 14a, and at least one operating support unit 16a, which has at least one support surface 18a. It is proposed that the drive unit longitudinal axis 14a and the support surface 18a include a fixed angle 20a of between 0° and 90°. Preferably the angle 34a is between 90˚ and 180˚. Preferably a parting device 24a is included comprising a cutting train 26a, which may be a cutting chain, and a guide unit 28a.
