PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a mounting height or a mounting volume by mounting a piezo-electric ceramics on a circuit substrate without damaging the ceramics. SOLUTION: The piezo-electric transformer is provided with a piezo-electric ceramics 2 formed so as to have a rectangular parallelepiped configuration, for example, primary electrodes 4 formed on both side surfaces opposed in the direction of thickness of the piezo-electric ceramics 2 so as to make pair, a secondary electrode 6 formed on one outer surface, a circuit substrate 8 with a circuit connected to the primary electrode 4 and the secondary electrode 6 while being formed thereon, retaining members 10, 12 provided on the mounting surface of the circuit substrate 8 for retaining the piezo-electric ceramics 2 under pinching status, and conductive rubbers 14, 16 provided so as to be interposed between the retaining member 10 and primary electrode 4 and between the retaining member 12 and the secondary electrode 6. The vibration of the piezo-electric ceramics 2 is absorbed into conductive rubbers 14, 16 whereby vibration will never be hindered by the retaining members 10, 12. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
