<p>The machine has a reshaping device (1) that performs a shaping operation on a book block (37). A pressing device (30) is provided with a number of spaced-apart pressing plates (31,32) and burn-in rails to press the book block. A pair of prism plates (66,67) with shaped upper edges of a loading device (60), are spaced-apart and are extending parallel or quasi-parallel to each other to support a shaped book block back. A feed element is operatively connected to each prism plate and is adjustable to a position to support a differently shaped book block back. An independent claim is included for a method of re-shaping a book block back.</p> |
