The invention relates to a maintaining device for a hob (1), which is used to maintain at least function module (15, 15' , 15") on the lower side (2) of the hob (1). Said maintaining device comprises at least one maintaining element (3) which can be connected to the lower side (2) of the hob (1), and comprises a first maintaining area (7) which is used to maintain a first function module (15). The maintaining element (3) comprises at least one second maintaining area (10, 13) which is used to maintain a second function module (15' , 15"), which is different from the first function module (15), in order to mount said function modules in a simple and economical manner.
