PURPOSE: An authentication system using a mobile phone and a method thereof are provided to increase integrity of authentication through user authentication service using simultaneous connection of an authentication server and a server of a mobile communication company. CONSTITUTION: An authentication server (200) receives user information and a provisional random number through the internet network. The authentication server receives a call ID (CID) of a mobile communication terminal which transmits a call signal to the provisional random number from a server (300) of a mobile communication company. The authentication server matches the provisional random number transmitted from the mobile communication terminal of a user with the provisional random number in which the call signal confirmed from the server of the mobile communication company connected through the network is inputted. The authentication server performs user authentication by judging the consistency between CID inputted from the user and CID confirmed by the server of the mobile communication company by being linked with the matched provisional random numbers.
