PURPOSE: A production method of a glass substrate is provided to control the curving or breaking of a transfer pipe and a refining pipe by contacting the expanded transfer pipe to a melting furnace and the refining pipe. CONSTITUTION: A production method is conducted in a melting furnace (101), a transfer pipe, and a refining pipe (102). The production method comprises the following steps before producing molten glass: heating the transfer pipe formed of platinum or an platinum alloy; and contacting one end of the transfer pipe with an end (101b) of the melting furnace, and contacting the other end of the transfer pipe with an end (102b) of the refining pipe. Each end of the melting furnace, the transfer pipe, and the refining pipe are cooled from the outside of the pipe. The molten glass is cooled and coagulated by the ends, and forms a flow path. |
