PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide such a method for manufacturing a propylene-based polymer in a gas-phase polymerization process as is little in the byproducts to become the difficulties in the physical properties and the manufacture and as causes no occurrence of the powder; and to provide a propylene-based polymer which is manufactured by the same method and which is widely distributed in the molecular weight and is excellent in the moldability. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a propylene-based polymer by a gas-phase polymerization method in a two-stage process in the presence of a metallocene catalyst supported on a carrier comprises a first step of manufacturing a propylene-based polymer component (A), and then a second step of continuously manufacturing a propylene-based polymer component (B), wherein the method for manufacturing a propylene-based polymer has such polymerization conditions of the first and second processes as to satisfy specified conditions.
