PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery voltage value prediction method which can predict the voltage value of a battery with small errors, when the battery is discharged. SOLUTION: When a substantially constant current is supplied to a load installed in a vehicle from the battery, the time-series voltage value of the battery is predicted, on the basis of the detected voltage value (S1) and the output current value (S5) of the battery. When a current starts to be supplied from the battery (S7), the current value is detected (S5), and on the basis of the detected current value, the time required until the voltage value reaches a minimum by the concentration polarization of the battery is calculated (S9); changes in the battery voltage value until the lapse of the calculated time required are approximated to an exponential function, on the basis of the detected current value (S15); and changes in the battery voltage value after the lapse of the time required are approximated to a linear function, on the basis of the detected current value and the rated capacity of the battery (S17), thereby predicting the time-series voltage value of the battery.
