A backlight unit and an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) having the same are provided to change a structure of a reflection plate and a bottom cover, thereby preventing the waver of the reflection plate. A lamp(120) generates the light beam. A reflection plate(130) includes a combining hole and reflects the downwardly emitted light beam into the upwardly emitted light beam in the light beams emitted from the lamp. A bottom cover(140) includes a bottom portion. A side portion is extended from the bottom portion. A combining protrusion is protruded from the side at the position corresponding to the combining hole of the reflection member. The bottom covers receive the lamp and the reflection plate at a receiving space prepared by the bottom portion and the side portion. The reflection plate includes the first reflection portion(132) contacted with the bottom portion of the bottom cover. The second reflection portion(134) is extended from the first reflection portion and curved upwardly from the first reflection portion. A combining member(136) is extended from the second reflection portion and curved downwardly from the second reflection portion. |
