An evaporator is provided to evenly distribute a refrigerant inside the evaporator by installing a dispensing plate with plural louvers inside first and second header tanks for guiding the refrigerant. An evaporator(80) comprises a pair of first header tanks(10) and second header tanks(20), an inlet pipe(60) and an outlet pipe(70), plural tubes(30), a fin(40) formed between tubes, and a dispensing plate(50). The first and second header tanks are separated from each other and have at least one compartment. The inlet pipe for drawing in a refrigerant and the outlet pipe for drawing out the refrigerant are coupled to the first and second header tanks. The plural tubes whose two ends are fixed between the first and second header tanks include a refrigerant passage. The dispensing plate has a compartment inside the first and second header tanks wherein the inlet pipe is formed, and plural louvers(51) having a predetermined inclined angle of a scale shape. |
