A method for licensing at least one software program (3) with software protection (5), in which each software protection is deactivated by a key. A further software program (4) is provided as a licence manager (4) which has access to each key, where the licence manager (4) is licensable by a manager key and where with licensing of the licence manager (4) by the manager key each software protection (5) is deactivated by the respective associated key.
