<p>The tool has a fuel tank (5) storing a fuel i.e. liquefied gas, and a combustion chamber (2) connected to the tank. A piston (10) is moved in a cylinder (11) for driving a driving plunger (12), and an exhaust gas opening (17) ejects exhaust gases after an ignition of a fuel/air mixture. A gas pressure course of the combustion chamber is selectively reducible compared to a maximum pressure course to affect a driving energy of the piston through the ejection. The maximum pressure course is applied over a segment of travel of the piston after the ignition in the case of a reduced driving energy.</p> |
