<p>The tool has a machine control determining control commands for operations of machining units and controlling a drive of the machining units via a drive control, using the control commands. An operator support system (200) is arranged on the tool, and works independently of the machine control. The operator support system is connected to a data network (350) via which machining and/or workpiece information (352) is accessible. The operator support system comprises a visualization unit (210) for representing the machining and/or workpiece information.
