An electronic ink image display device is provided to reduce the size of a substrate through removal of an unnecessary area, thereby saving the use amount of electronic ink and reducing the production cost of the display device. An electronic ink image display device comprises a first substrate(110), a second substrate(120) bound to the first substrate, an electronic ink layer formed between the first substrate and the second substrate, and a driving IC(160) mounted on the first substrate. The second substrate has a protrusion part(124) extended to an area corresponding to a lateral surface of the driving chip. The protrusion part overlaps a portion of a common voltage pattern formed in the first substrate. Paste(125), in which conductive particles such as silver particles are dispersed, is dropped on the protrusion part to electrically connect the common voltage pattern and a common electrode to each other. As described, the protrusion with the protrusion is extended to the lateral surface of the driving IC, thereby removing an unnecessary area from the substrate. |
