<p>A hand drying apparatus 30 comprises a casing 32, the casing includes a front wall 36 and a rear wall 38 that define a drying cavity 40 to receive a user's hands, a fan located in the casing and capable of creating an airflow, and the front and rear walls include front and rear vents 46, 48 respectively. The front and rear vents communicate with the fan and are arranged to direct an airflow transversely across the cavity 40, wherein the face 44 of the front wall or the rear wall adjacent the cavity comprises a raised baffle strip 50 extending laterally across the face, and the baffle strip is positioned partway between the bottom of the cavity and the vent in the wall containing said baffle strip. The shape of the baffle may be an inverted v or an arc (Fig 5).</p> |
