PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable rice cooker capable of preventing induced electromotive voltage generated in a speaker coil thereby capable of preventing the breakage of sound generating means when actuating a heating coil. SOLUTION: The induction heating rice cooker includes: a sound signal output means 11 for receiving the output of a control means 9 for controlling an inverter circuit 2 for supplying high frequency current to the heating coil 1 and for outputting the sound signal to the speaker 10; a switch circuit 17 for receiving the signal of the control means to close or open a power source circuit to a sound output means; and a speaker closing means 13 for closing or opening the signal path from the sound signal output means to the speaker. The control means closes the power source path of the sound signal output means by the switch circuit and closes the signal path from the sound signal output means to the speaker by a speaker close means when not outputting sound, and further the control means opens the power source path of the sound signal output means by the switch circuit when outputting sound.
