PURPOSE: A masking and restoring method of a privacy domain is provided to minimize the amount of data which is stored or transmitted. CONSTITUTION: Masked image data (MID) is generated by decoding encoded masked image data (EMID) (S21). Privacy data is generated by decoding encrypted privacy data (EPD) with a key (S22). In case a user does not have the key, masked image is displayed on a screen using the MID. In case the user has the key, an original image having a restored privacy domain is displayed on the screen using the information of the privacy domain, the MID and the PD.
