PURPOSE: An expansion valve is provided to reduce noise by uniformly mixing a liquid refrigerant with a gas refrigerant flowing along the top of a tightening member. CONSTITUTION: An expansion valve (1) comprises a valve body (10), a valve member (30), and a valve member drive unit (70). The valve body has an inlet path, a valve chamber (20), an orifice (50), an outlet path (52), and a return path (60). A high-pressure refrigerant condensed from a condenser flows into the inlet path. The valve chamber is connected to the inlet path. The orifice decompresses the refrigerant flowing into the valve chamber. The valve member opens and closes the orifice. The valve member drive unit drives the valve member. |
