PURPOSE: An electric component and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to extend service life of the electric component by effectively discharging overcurrent or voltage. CONSTITUTION: A first coil pattern (1C-1) is equipped in one of dielectric and insulator. A second coil pattern (2C-1) is equipped in one of the dielectric and insulator. Over current or voltage is applied to the first or second coil pattern. One or more discharge terminals (D1-1, D2-2) discharge the overcurrent or voltage. A discharge electrode is electrically connected to the discharge terminal.
