PURPOSE: An online electronic gift certificate information providing method and apparatus are provided to offer certificate information of an online electronic gift certificate and business information of a goods supplier which is included in the online electronic gift certificate to a buyer. CONSTITUTION: Business information of a goods supplier is received from a first terminal (S5100). The business information of the goods supplier is stored in relation to identifying information of the goods supplier (S5200). Multiple goods suppliers are searched based on the business information of the goods supplier and planning information of an electronic gift certificate (S5300). A first electronic certificate in which the multiple goods suppliers are a joining enterprise is formed (S5400). A reading request of the first electronic certificate is received from a second terminal (S5500). Response information for the reading request which includes at least one of certificate information of the first electronic certificate and the business information of the multiple good suppliers is provided to the second terminal (S5600).
