<p>PURPOSE: An access direction awareness counting device and a method thereof are provided to save supply resources and effectively prevent various safety accidents which can occur in a corresponding space. CONSTITUTION: An access direction awareness counting device includes a first sensing unit (110), a second sensing unit (120), a third sensing unit (130), and a control unit. The first sensing unit is disposed in a target space (100), and senses a moving body within a first sensing range. The first sensing range faces a gate (101) or a space adjacent to the gate. The second sensing unit is disposed in the target space, and senses the moving body within a second sensing range. The second sensing range faces a space spaced from the first sensing range as much as a predetermined distance. The third sensing unit is disposed in the target space, and senses the moving body within a third sensing range. The third sensing range faces a space between the first sensing range and the second sensing range. The control unit confirms whether the moving body is sensed or not in the first and second sensing units when the moving body leaves the third sensing range. If the moving body is sensed in the second sensing unit, the control unit adds one to the number of the moving bodies. If the moving body is sensed in the first sensing unit, the control unit subtracts one from the number of the moving bodies in order to calculate the number of the moving bodies.</p> |
