PURPOSE: A battery cell forms a stepped region, thereby easily obtaining a mounting space, being mounted to devices with various outer shapes, and to minimize devices. CONSTITUTION: A battery cell (100) in which an electrode assembly is mounted in a battery case; a battery case (110) which is formed of an upper case and a lower case and has an accommodation part for mounting an electrode assembly in the upper case and/or lower case; and an electrode assembly in which a plurality of unit cells or electrodes is laminated in a height direction and at least two electrodes or unit cells of which have different plane size from each other. The accommodation part has a stepped region corresponding to the outer shape of the electrode assembly.
