PURPOSE: A battery protection device for electric vehicles is provided to prevent the battery of a battery case from being shorted out or corroded due to moisture or condensation by discharging air or fresh water within the battery case according to humidity which is detected in a sensor member, water level, or temperature. CONSTITUTION: A battery protection device for electric vehicles comprises a battery case(10) in which battery supplying power source to electric vehicle is built in order to cool the battery by air which flows in or coolant which circulates inside, a sensor member(30) which detects one or more of humidity inside the battery case, water level or temperature of fresh water, an opening and closing switch(50) which discharges air inside the battery case or fresh water which is collected in the battery case, and a controller(70) which controls operation of the opening and closing switch by sensing signal of the sensor member. |
