PURPOSE: An apparatus for driving the horizontal brush of an automatic car washing machine is provided to place the central position of a moving trajectory for the horizontal brush below the position of a central shaft for a rotary frame, and to minimize the radius of the moving trajectory for the horizontal brush, thereby minimizing an area in which the automatic car washing machine is installed. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for driving the horizontal brush of an automatic car washing machine includes a pair of main columns (110), a rotary shaft (120), a rotary frame (130), a vertical frame (140), the horizontal brush (150), a power supply unit (160), and a vertical condition retaining unit (170). The main columns are installed at both sides of the run way of the car washing machine. The rotary shaft is rotatably installed across a distance between the main columns. A pair of the rotary frames on the rotary shaft is respectively installed at mutually facing positions inside the main columns. The vertical frame is coupled to the end portion of the rotary frame with a joint. The horizontal brush is rotatably coupled between the end portions of the pair of the vertical frames with a shaft. The power supply unit on the rotary frame provides a rotational force to the horizontal brush. The vertical condition retaining unit supports the vertical frame in order to retain the vertical condition of the vertical frame when the rotary frame rotates. |
