SLAT WITH TIP VORTEX MODIFICATION APPENDAGE FOR WIND TURBINE

PURPOSE: A slat for having a tip vortex change attachment for a wind turbine is provided to reduce disadvantageous effects of upstream vortex by reducing the size of vortex and/or changing the position of vortex. CONSTITUTION: A slat for having an upstream vortex change attachment for a wind turbine comprises a main blade element (22), a slat (30), and a tip vortex modification attachment. The main blade element includes an inboard part in a radial direction. The slat is adjacently separated from the main blade element along a radial span of the inboard part. The tip vortex modification attachment is placed at the end of the slat. The tip vortex modification attachment includes a small winglet which is extends further upwards from the end of the slat and the main blade element.
