PURPOSE: A translation device and a method thereof are provided to input a sentence to be translated by using a pre-translated sentence displayed on a screen. CONSTITUTION: A communication unit (110) transmits a sentence of a first language to be translated to a translation server. The communication unit receives a translated sentence of a second language from the server. A display unit (160) displays both the translated sentence of the second language and a previously translated sentence. A memory (170) stores translation records including the translated sentence of the second language and the sentence of the first language to be translated. A user input unit (150) receives manipulation input for the previously translated sentence from a user.
