<p>AN ULTRA-CAPACITOR INTERFACE SYSTEM INCLUDING AN ALTERNATE ENERGY RESOURCE (11), AN ELECTRICAL ENERGY STORAGE DEVICE (12), A BUCK-BOOST DC- DC BIDIRECTIONAL CONVERTER (13) AND A DYNAMIC EVOLUTION CONTROLLER (14) OPERABLE SO AS TO MINIMIZE ELECTRICAL ENERGY LOSSES DURING SUDDEN CHANGE IN LOAD DEMAND OR REQUIRED FOR PEAK POWER CONDITIONS FOR SHORT DURATION OF TIME. THE OUTPUT OF THE ALTERNATE ENERGY RESOURCE (11) CAN BE CONTROLLED AND ADJUSTED TO MEET THE LOAD DEMAND SO THE STORAGE DEVICE (12) ONLY NEEDS TO SATISFY THE TRANSIENT ENERGY REQUIRED WHILE THE GENERATOR POWER IS ADJUSTED. AT FIRST, THE BUCK-BOOST DC-DC BIDIRECTIONAL CONVERTER (13) MAY BE OPERATED IN AN ALTERNATE BUCK MODE SO AS TO FORCE ON A FIRST SWITCH THROUGH WHICH ELECTRICAL ENERGY FLOWS FROM THE ALTERNATE ENERGY RESOURCE (11) TO THE ELECTRICAL ENERGY STORAGE DEVICE (12). SECONDLY, WHEN SUDDEN CHANGE IN LOAD DEMAND OR MORE ELECTRICAL ENERGY IS NEEDED, THE BUCK- BOOST DC-DC BIDIRECTIONAL CONVERTER (13) MAY BE OPERATED IN AN ALTERNATE BOOST MODE SO AS TO FORCE ON A SECOND SWITCH THROUGH WHICH ELECTRICAL ENERGY STORED IN THE ELECTRICAL STORAGE DEVICE (12) FLOWS OUT IN ORDER TO FULFILL THE EXTRA DEMAND OF THE LOAD.</p> |
