PURPOSE: A method for coating a surface easily and simply provides high hydrophobicity and anti-adhesion property to a substrate without damage on pores or the loss of integrity of a substrate. CONSTITUTION: A method for coating a surface comprises a step of providing a base material; a step of obtaining a siloxane-modified surface by applying a siloxane oligomer solution to the surface of the base material, drying and/or heat-treating the spread material; and a step of applying a hydrocarbyl halide solution to the siloxane-modified-surface and drying and/or heat-treating the spread material to form a coating including a siloxane condensation-polymerized material which has a quaternary ammonium salt formed of a hydrocarbyl ammonium cation and halide anion.
