PURPOSE: A steering device for a vehicle is provided to prevent the degradation of steering performance and reduce noise generated when a steering wheel of a vehicle is operated. CONSTITUTION: A steering device for a vehicle includes a housing (10), a worm wheel (52), a worm shaft (30), and a friction maintaining unit (70). A driving shaft (50) to which a steering wheel is connected is installed in the housing. The worm wheel is connected to the driving shaft. The worm shaft is connected to a motor (32) installed in the housing and is connected to the worm wheel. The friction maintaining unit controls a frictional force between the worm wheel and the worm shaft by pressurizing the worm shaft and maintains the controlled frictional force. |
