PURPOSE: An apparatus for controlling an internet protocol (IP) based device and a method thereof are provided to control a plurality of IP devices using a single mobile remote controller. CONSTITUTION: An ID synchronization part (13) receives and registers ID information from a mobile remote controller and an IP based device. The ID synchronization part manages a session list including connection relation information between devices. A session list storing part (14) stores the session list. A relay module (12) receives the session list from the session list storing part. The relay module receives a function command from the mobile remote controller. The relay module relays the function command to the IP based device which forms the connection session with the mobile remote controller. |
