PURPOSE: An AV-image based device for deciding a parking space is provided for a driver to decide where to park and look around the surrounding area. CONSTITUTION: An AV-image based device for deciding a parking space comprises an AV image collecting unit (10) which collects around views (AV); a parking space recognizing unit (20) which recognizes where to park in AVs which are collected by the image collecting unit; a selected area input unit (40) in which a driver inputs information on a desirable parking area; a selected area recognizing unit (50) working with the parking space recognizing unit, which recognizes the input parking area information and determines if it is valid; a display unit (30) which displays the AVs and the valid area; and parking space setting unit (60) which sets the parking space as a parking location if the parking space determined to be valid.
