PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for HIFU therapy are provided to enable a user to operate without damaging blood vessel and internal organs. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for HIFU therapy comprises: a HIFU treatment transducer(141) which transmits high intensity focused ultrasound in order to focus energy on a treatment position; a B-mode signal processing unit(150) which forms a B-mode video signal; an ultrasonic wave signal processing unit(130) which generates an ultrasound image treatment position image; an image integration unit(160) which outputs a signal of a combined image of a B-mode focused image and a treatment position image; and a system controller(110) which calibrates the focal point of high intensity focused ultrasound.
