PURPOSE: A communication system connected with a heterogeneous network and a control method thereof are provided to prevent excessive traffic generation in the handover situation between heterogeneous networks, and to reduce load of a home subscriber server (HSS). CONSTITUTION: A heterogeneous network link relay server (120) is connected to a second communication network. The heterogeneous network link relay server communicates with a management server (130) for a signal received from the second communication network in order to perform heterogeneous network subscriber authentication processing. The management server communicates with a call processing server (110) and the heterogeneous link relay server. The management server processes subscriber authentication and position registration. The management server manages the address of the call processing server for each client and the address of the heterogeneous link relay server.
