PURPOSE: An Aspergillus nidulans mutant strain is provided to suppress the growth of other microorganisms without resistance to an antibacterial agent by administering the antibacterial agent to the strain and culturing the strain. CONSTITUTION: A method for increasing resistance to oxidative stress and an antibacterial agent in Aspergillus nidulans comprises the step of suppressing the expression of aquaporin gene of sequence number 1. The antibacterial agent is fluconazole. The oxidative stress is caused by hydrogen peroxide (H_2O_2). A mutant strain of Aspergillus nidulans suppresses the expression of aquaporin gene and increases resistance to an antibacterial agent and oxidative stress. |
