PURPOSE: A cathode active material for a lithium ion capacitor and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to enhance the production efficiency by streamlining the lithium doping process. CONSTITUTION: The chemical formula 1 explains a first lithium compound metal oxide. The chemical formula 2 explains a second lithium compound metal oxide. A cathode active material for a lithium ion capacitor includes a carbon-containing material. The first lithium compound metal oxide inserts lithium ions in a voltage region of 0V to 5V.
