PURPOSE: A chromogenic composition by enzyme reaction is provided to accurately analyze an analyte using the reflection rate or transmittance of light with respect to a low concentration sample. CONSTITUTION: A chromogenic composition (10) contains an enzyme which reacts with an analyte; a chromogenic agent which changes colors by reaction between the analyte and the enzyme; and a porous material (100) which is mixed with the enzyme and the chromogenic agent. The porous material is gelled or solidified by drying. A method for preparing the composition comprises the steps of: mixing the enzyme, the chromogenic agent, and the porous material to prepare a mixture solution; and drying the mixture solution.
