<p>PURPOSE: The present invention is to provide a method for setting a position of afterimage removal object. The method enables a user to manually or automatically select points where an afterimage is continuously generated in an organic light emitting display device by using an afterimage removal algorithm. CONSTITUTION: A method for driving an organic light emitting device comprises the steps of selecting points where an afterimage is continuously generated by analyzing images displayed in each of frames (S310), storing the sum of image data corresponding to each of selected points in a memory unit (S330), setting a data change threshold value (S350), comparing a change amount of data sum with the data change threshold value (S370), and continuously reducing a light emitting cycle if the change amount of data sum is smaller than the data change threshold value (S390).
