PURPOSE: Apparatus for treating non-point source contaminants is provided to be economically beneficial in construction and to prevent changes in specific gravity by stopping the absorption of water with the material and structure of a floating medium. CONSTITUTION: Apparatus for treating non-point source contaminants comprises a tank for controlling a flow rate (10) and a treatment tank (20). The treatment tank is divided into a precipitation chamber (22) and a filtration chamber (23) by a confining wall (21) with a plurality of flow paths formed at a lower part. A floating medium layer (24) formed in the filtration chamber is composed of a medium having a plurality of pores formed by foaming the polypropylene resin of the floating medium. The medium consists of an inner layer of polypropylene resin and a coating layer of methyl methacrylic resin enveloping the inner layer, and has a specific gravity less than 1.0.
