<p>An excavation control system (200) is provided with a work mode determination unit (264), and a drive control unit (265). The work mode determination unit (264) determines whether the work mode of a work machine (2) is forming work or cutting edge alignment work, on the basis of an operation signal (M). The drive control unit (265) moves the cutting edge (8a) of a bucket (8) along a target design plane (45A) when it has been determined that the work mode is shaping work. The drive control unit (265) stops the cutting edge (8a) of the bucket (8) at a predetermined position in reference to the target design plane (45A) when it has been determined that the work mode is cutting edge alignment work.</p> |
