LNG CARGOCONTAINMENT AND ITS INSULATION CAPABILITY ENHANCING METHOD

PURPOSE: A liquefied natural gas (LNG) hold and a thermal performance maintaining method are provided to maintain thermal performance while satisfying a required boil of ratio (BOR) by using the effect of vacuum pressure on the thermal performance of a particle type insulation material. CONSTITUTION: A liquefied natural gas (LNG) hold (1) and a thermal performance maintaining method includes a first insulation box (100), a vacuum pressure control unit (300), and a control unit (400). The first insulation box first insulates the LNG which is stored in a storage tank; has the inside to be maintained to be in a vacuum state; and is filled with the insulating material. The vacuum pressure control unit controls the vacuum pressure of the first insulation box. The control unit maintains a boil off ratio (BOR) within a predetermined range by controlling a vacuum pressure control unit in case the BOR is out of the predetermined range.
