THE PRESENT INVENTION RELATES TO A METHOD OF PRODUCING BACILLUS THURINGIENSIS (BT)-BASED INSECTICIDES USING A FERMENTATION PROCESS. SAID METHOD INVOLVES PROVIDING AN OPTIMIZED GROWTH MEDIUM CONTAINING CARBON-TO-NITROGEN RATIO OF ABOUT 2 : 1 (BY WEIGHT) FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE BT- BASED INSECTICIDES PRODUCING MICROORGANISM UNDER AN AEROBIC CONDITION, WHICH THE DISSOLVED OXYGEN LEVEL IS MAINTAINED CONSTANTLY AT APPROXIMATELY 80%. SUBSEQUENTLY, THE RESULTING BIOMASS IS RECOVERED THROUGH A VACUUM EVAPORATOR, WHERE THE CONCENTRATION THEREOF CAN BE INCREASED ABOUT 20% PRIOR TO BEING SUBJECTED TO FORMULATION PROCESS. IN FORMULATION THE PROCESS, ADDITIVES SUCH AS DISPERSANT, DILUENTS AND SUSPENDING AGENT ARE GROUND WITH THE CONCENTRATED BIOMASS, IN ORDER TO ENHANCE THE STABILITY OF THE FERMENTATION PRODUCTS. |
