The method involves realizing a cavity i.e. circular groove (7), in the wheel, where the cavity leads to a style face (8) of the wheel, and the cavity comprises two opposite side faces against skin and comprises an opening having a closed contour. A curved decorative insert (10) is placed in the cavity. The insert is plated in the cavity by magneto-forming. A hub (4) is connected to a rim (5) by radial branches (6), and the cavity is formed in one of the branches, and extends perpendicular to a longitudinal direction from the branch. An independent claim is also included for a wheel for a car.
