PURPOSE: An anode for a lithium ion secondary battery has excellent initial charging performance and a lithium secondary battery with excellent charging and discharging cycle performance. CONSTITUTION: An anode (10) for a lithium ion secondary battery has a current collector layer (11) and an anode active material layer formed of a tin structure (12). The tin structure has a plurality of protrusions (13) vertically projected from the main surface of the current collector layer. The cross sectional area of a base, parallel to the main surface of the current collector layer is smaller than that of a front. The cross sectional area becomes smaller away from the current collector layer. A lithium ion secondary battery has the anode. |
