摘要 Provided is a particle sorting device which can properly enable particles that should be separated to be separated from other particle groups even if the pressure of air supplied to an air ejecting mechanism is reduced. The device is provided with a transportation mechanism which enables a particle group to pass through a measuring object part in a one-layer state and in a transversely spreading state of spreading in a transverse direction, a light reception mechanism which receives light from the measuring object mechanism, a lighting mechanism which illuminates the measuring object part, an evaluation processing mechanism which judges whether a particle to be regarded as an objected to be separated based on whether the value of the amount of received light deviates from a proper range of the amount of light, and an air ejection mechanism which enables the particle that is judged to be regarded as an object to be separated to be separated. The transportation mechanism freely alters and adjusts transportation flow of the particle group to constitute action of controlling the transportation mechanism, enabling the transportation flow when the detected pressure detected by a pressure detection mechanism which detects the pressure of air supplied to the air ejecting mechanism from an air supply source is relatively low to be smaller than when the detected pressure is relatively high.
